WINTER 2020 EXPERIENCE
February 29, 2020
Recap video by MP Studio
Capturing the winter months and crisp air of love in February on an unordinary leap year; our theme carries a timeless flair while providing a fresh taste to an expected season.
Like a classic tale, song, or book, we want this theme to be looked back on with nostalgic joy as it makes the heart of our guests skip a beat. Incorporating a chic black and white pairing with cool pastel tones, we want to freeze moments of love such as how winter freezes life in its state; but only in a horizon of brilliant white, spa blue, iced aqua, misty jade, and lavender fog.
Details include translucent elements and whimsy touches including vellum stationery, ghost chairs, washes of white paint, crystalized details, and etches that resemble the look of a new ice rink skated over.
This is a story book theme that pairs with our romantic couple’s journey - one to be passed down and looked back on.
FOUNDRY AT THE FORT
An industrial loft with a 180 degree view of the City of Fort Saskatchewan. This character venue boasts three floor to ceiling windows that provide a panoramic view of the city. The signature brick wall and cement floors create a unique venue for any event.
MIKE + LINDA
Mike and Linda have been together for 10 years and married for 6. It was sort of love at first sight—at least for Mike ;) He knew the moment he saw Linda that she was the one he wanted to be with forever. That's why he boldly declared to her, just a week after they met, that she would marry him. And she did!
They have since explored, vacationed, and argued together (as couples do) and grown together - growing as individuals, growing in their love for each other and growing their fur family: two dogs, Olive and Artie, and two cats, Thor and Loki, who they love dearly!
Now as they celebrate a decade together, Mike and Linda are looking forward to the next stage of their lives - after struggling for years with infertility, they're now working through the adoption process, hoping to soon add a little one to their loving family!
