Thank you for your interest in nominating a couple (or yourselves!) as the new featured vow renewal couple for The Wedding Edit 2021. 


The Wedding Edit provides a unique opportunity where we can celebrate a REAL life marriage while providing a fun and inspiring event for engaged couples to plan their dream wedding. This is a great opportunity for a married couple to renew their vows and be a part of a live wedding experience. 


Please read the full details below and if you are eligible, do apply! Our nomination process this year will be decided upon by three local judges and the featured couple will be chosen and announced in September 2020!

Couple Criteria

- The couple must be married for a minimum of five years as of January 1, 2021 but there is no maximum! The longer the love, the merrier! - The couple must be based in Edmonton and Area and able to travel and meet for applicable appointments and meetings. Imagine you were planning your wedding all over again… but this time you just need to show up! - The couple must be comfortable working with all participating vendors and willing to be a part of the marketing and planning process of The Wedding Edit. - The couple must be available for a photo session/filming day, attire appointment fittings, the event rehearsal, and event day once scheduled. The planner of the event will schedule these meetings with the couple. - The couple must be able to provide timely communication and response over email with the planner during the duration of The Wedding Edit. Communication is key to any relationship right?! - The couple must be willing to promote the event and share their experience. We want the couple to enjoy the event as much as they are a part of it! - The couple must be comfortable with social media and use Instagram. - The couple should be enthusiastic about this event, love weddings, and NOT camera shy. - The couple must be willing to comply with the full role as the featured vow renewal couple and sign a respective agreement and model release form. - Lastly, we want the couple to have fun and desire to have a vow renewal to celebrate their relationship journey!

Role Details

As our featured vow renewal couple, you will be incorporated into the event as per our planned theme, venue, vendors, and logistics at no cost. - The vow renewal couple will be able to have two bridesmaids and two groomsmen as part of their “bridal party”. - The vow renewal couple and their “bridal party” will participate in The Wedding Edit from getting ready, to the vow renewal ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception inclusive of dinner and late night snack. - The vow renewal couple and bridal party will be dressed by the vendors who are featured in the show and work together with the planner to find a suitable style. - The vow renewal couple can choose to incorporate parents into their ceremony processional and work with the officiant to customize parts of their vow renewal. Parents and anyone involved in the processional will be offered a complimentary seat at the vow renewal only. - The vow renewal couple is allowed to invite additional guests. Additional guest tickets will be at the cost of the reception meal for up to 10 guests to take part in the whole event. If additional guests want to join for just the vow renewal ceremony (no food/reception), they can purchase a ticket directly from our website. - The vow renewal couple will receive the photos taken from the event and will be allowed to share and use them as long as they provide credit to the show and photographer(s).

Founder of The Wedding Edit and wedding planner behind Our Jonrah Events, Sarah loves hearing love stories and celebrating relationships.  Her dynamic industry background and passion for planning has led her to multiple features in blogs and magazines besides creating innovative events to educate and inspire brides with their own wedding plans. Sarah believes that every couple has their own highs and lows and despite it all, married life challenges us to grow together in the best way possible!


Banji moved to Canada fifteen years ago to complete her undergraduate degree in Nursing and currently works as a correctional nurse. In addition, she blogs @thebanjiajayi and is passionate about fashion and showcasing Alberta's cafe & cool spots. Banji has been married for 3 years and found the love of her life in Edmonton. Although she considers herself a novice in marriage, she is excited to share and learn from others, including new brides.


Kellie is a local Sherwood Park Blogger, a Northern Girl with a Southern heart and an eye for Cottage DIY. A romantic to the core, lover of tiny details, and decadent baking skills have made her a go-to for many Brides looking for some organization tips, decoration DIY and, of course, beautiful cakes. All of this is no doubt inspiring her for her own big day which is unfortunately postponed till next June due to Covid-19. To Kellie, marriage is finding that person that you are excited to grow with, conquer all of life’s ups and downs with, and who doesn’t get jealous of your impressive power tool collection!
